I think that's pretty normal. It's the same with my son's Pioneer and in certain seating positions with my other son's Boulevard 70.

I think it depends on the shape of the seat you are installing on. I can't do it in our Honda Insight, I can in our Expedition.

Have you tried it after loosening just the top tether? I think sometimes that does it. But if you want to call Britax to ask if they have any suggestions, why not?

I vaguely recall having this discussion. Check in the manual. It seems like it said not to do it when installed. I could have dreamed that though.

I took a quick look at the manual today. The only thing I can find is on page 16 where it says to make all adjustments for the fit of the child before using the restraint. It goes on to say place the seat on the floor, etc. This is under the harness and head restraint height adjustment section.

I remember seeing that discussion here, but I'm 99% sure I asked someone at Britax and confirmed it's fine to adjust it when installed. I don't think I dreamt that. :D I have done it, but I think I may need to loosen the tether to do it .. I don't usually need to as it's only used by one kid. If you think about, that setting that looks right inside your house is only a rough guesstimate really because things chance once installed and it may need to be moved at that time, so that part of the manual is misleading, IMHO.
