Almost 5 year old RFing in BLVD 70

He asked me to switch his seat to rear facing. He's 38 lbs and will be 5 on 2/10. Does he still fit? The book is 1". The way I see it, he's right at the limit, right?



I think the 3rd picture shows it best because you can kind of follow the curve of the shell to where it would be behind the headrest. It looks *really* close. If I could see it in person I would probably give a yes or no, but just going from pictures, all I'll say is it's really close! :)

ETA: I'm curious how tall he is and what size clothes he wears?

He wears a 4T or a 5 in clothes. 5 is still kinda big and 4Ts are getting small. Just measured and he's 42" tall.
