Horrible crash test ratings We had an 01 Venture and we were starting to have major mechanical issues last summer so we traded it in.

My parents have one (possibly same year? It might be a 00), but that is all I know, they haven't had any problems with it afaik.

As long as I don't think too much about the IIHS crash tests, I love my 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette, which is the same van. It's very comfortable to drive and ride in.

We had an 01 montana. Dh won't own another pontiac ever. We have had the same issue with the 2 we owned.

ya, not to make the people who currently own one feel bad, but i would never deliberately BUY one that i didn't already own. The crash tests are horrifying. But that is my personal opinion and my personal priority system for my own family. I found that once i knew better, I couldn't NOT take crash test results into consideration when looking at vehicles to purchase for my family. It made buying new vehicles the last few years really, REALLY hard because the safer vehicles weren't as cheap. And our budget was not high. So we had to try and reconcile the amount of money we had with the vehicle we could get in terms of how old it was, how many miles it had, what year it was, etc.
