3 across help?

My friend is expecting #3. They drive a 2003 Olds Aurora and a 2001 Grand Am. They have 2 tiny kids, 3yo ffing in AOE and Comfort Sport(I think), and 7yo in Big Kid boosters.
I told her I would help find seats that will fit both cars. Her hubby is a cop and can get a free infant seat(Evenflo) I believe, for the Grand Am. She wants a keyfit for the Aurora(driven the most).
The Big Kid should be fine, but what seat should the 3yo get that will fit 3 across? Cheaper is better. I think she'd prefer a nicer seat in the Aurora and whatever in the other car since they aren't in it much. 3yo is 34", 27#s and will likely stay ffing.
Thanks!!

I would get a Maestro for the 3 yr old.

ETA: Also, the MyRide puzzles nicely FF next to a booster because of the narrow base. It is easy to buckle a booster next to it. I have no idea how it would puzzle with a Keyfit.

Another option might be a CA.

She doesn't like the free seat, lol. I guess I'll get together with her and see what we can figure out. Thanks

Something on a base -- MyRide, maybe Scenera. I had two low-profile combo seats (Evenflo Express and Century... something. Breverra?) on either side of a FF Touriva in my '99 Grand Am many, many moons ago. They *barely* fit and may or may not have been independently tight. That's the kind of space you're talking about. They may need to swap the Big Kid out for a lower-profile seat like a Literider, though. Keyfit is a good choice since it's narrow.

FWIW, despite the fact that it's giant, a Chaperone puzzles really well with a Maestro. The handle goes above the cupholder. I don't know if that helps you but yeah... found that out last week. LOL.
