2019 VW Tiguan - 3 Across Rear-Facing?

I have an 8MO and am expecting twin boys in April 😳. Really trying to make 3 rear-facing seats work in my 2019 Tiguan. Anyone had success fitting 3-across rear facing? Here are the configs we are considering, ALL seatbelt installed.

Option 1) One Clek Fllo + Two Uppababy Mesa’s **Ideal because we have UB stroller**
Option 2) Three Clek Fllos (two will need the infant inserts)

Any success stories with different seats in the 2019 Tiguan? Just need a short term solution as we wait for prices on used cars to stabilize.

Thanks!

Do you already have a Fllo? The Foonf is often more compact front to back. Sometimes it puzzles better by sitting higher than other seats.

I think you have a good chance of 3 across with the right seats. The center is the trickiest spot. If a Clek (or Graco SlimFit3 LX) can be put there, narrow seats could probably go either side.

However, I would not recommend the seats you have suggested for twins. Here's why:
Twins are more likely to be small at birth and/or premature and discharged small. Neither the Fllo with Infant Thingy nor the Mesa is likely to be a great fit for small babies (Mesa has fit and positioning issues for smaller babies and the Fllo as well as Foonf is known to have tightening issues with very small babies.)
In addition the Mesa often doesn't work well in a 3 across, and Clek seats often work better if alternated than if all the same convertibles.

I would suggest instead the Clek Lling as narrow, compact, and likely to fit a small baby at discharge. If using it in the stroller is important to you, you can get an adaptor- but please remember that time in the car seat outside of the car should be minimized. Especially with young or fragile babies, but even with healthy term infants, they must be watched carefully when in the car seat used in a stroller at all times- difficult with 3 young children. A bassinet or lie flat stroller is always a safer choice for baby.
