An the seats of the 2nd row of a 2010 Toyota Sienna be folded when you are driving? They lock when folded and don't move

I have an '06 Sienna and our captains chairs have a little strap to tie them up. They are secure that way because you still need to pull a lever in order to unclip them from the floor of the van, and that could not happen while they are strapped up. I believe it's intended that you can drive like that, but I'd have to read the manual. Did you look in yours?

This is not my car, it does have the strap but I didn't think it will hold up in a crash

The top of the seat can be folded forward with the bottom in the normal position while driving, where everything is locked in place.

If you want to tumble the seat forward, that's when the strap comes into play. The strap is not crash-worthy and the owners manual prohibits driving with the seat tumbled if there is anyone anywhere in the third row. Knowing that, I also won't drive with a child in the adjacent second row seat due to concern for little arms, fingers, and legs.

Thanks, that's what I said to DH but he thinks that the strap is crash resistant, I didn't think so so I put the seat back to the normal position, thanks
