Question 2007 Odyssey

What do I need to know? We are going to look at swapping our maxima for one in just a little while. It was in NY for 3 years, so I'm a bit worried about that. There is an open recall from 2010?? What was the recall??

What level is it? The Touring might have PAX tires. They are very expensive and can take days to get replaced if you have a flat. We "de-PAXed" ours and are happy with it. You can find tons of info. The recall is probably the power steering not always working at slow speeds. I could feel it backing out of spots sometimes. It was just harder to turn, but I didn't even think much of it until the recall came. I can't remember if it had one of the airbag recalls like our Accord. We have an '06 Touring and love it. There is a lot of preventative maintenance due around 100,000 that you will want to check on.

Ex-l. it has 130k miles. My aunt has a cheaper 06 with 130-140 and loves it. Our maxima only has 80 so im not loving going over 100k, but guess we'll have to. A buick terraza is the backup (we know previous owner and has service records). I really don't know what to go with.

I love ours. It'd be my first pick. I think ours is around 140k miles now. I do sometimes wish we had the EX-L for the 8th seat even though its small. There are so many ways I can put carseats and adults are comfortable everywhere too. There is sooo much room with the back filed down too.

How is the back seat? I know my teenage cousins sit in the back all the time. He did make the comment that the buick was more comfortable, but dd 1 is only 5. Im hoping to get dd1's fr85 outboard and dd2's blvd in the center (8th seat).

Turns out it is kinda rough on the inside. I guess that should be expected of a van thats 6+ years old. there are features on the buick i really like, but Ive got the whole Honda is the best thing programmed in my head..

It needs a cv joint (or whatever its called) replaced. Cost is 200$.. both mechanics gave it the ok. The one that looked at the buick too said he'd go with the buick. I (nor dh) can decide..

I've never looked at a Buick so I can't compare. I like the back seat if its just two back there. The 60% side is small so 3 across I'd hard, but I find it comfortable enough to sit in otherwise. I don't know if that combo works, but I love taking out our console (where the 8th seat is in the EXL) and sliding the passenger captain's chair over. It makes getting to the back a lot easier. I love having 5 top tether anchors too.
