2003 Suburban and Frontier 85

My 5 yr old DD rides to school in a 2003 Suburban. The school just purchased a Frontier 85 for her to use(since all they owned were boosters). They are untrained and would like me to install it. Which seat position is easiest? I tried the long belt path in the out board 3rd row and the seat belt seemed too short. I couldn't get a tight install in the center 3rd row. are the belts longer in the second row? We have a frontier85 in our van(no issuse installed there).

I'm not sure what, if any, changes were made between 2000 and 2003 but a member here thought her Suburban seat belts were too short for the LBP on the Frontier and later found out they weren't http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=119974

I recently saw a suggestion to pull the seat belt out all the way and put a chip clip on the seat belt so it' can't retract at all while you're feeding it through the LBP- maybe that would help?

Ok, I got it installed in the 2nd row center.... just barely. Took 2 of use(the driver and I) but we got it in and it's solid!

That's good! I hope they can leave it there installed. If you're not buckling her in every day I would occasionally check once she's in that the harness straps don't need to be moved up.
