2000 Wrangler tether anchor

My husband wants my daughter to be able to ride in his 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ. She is 38”, 32 pounds and 4.5 years old, forward facing. I contacted the dealer for a tether anchor kit (provided them with service bulletin and part number) but they said it’s discontinued and no dealers have it in stock.
questions for techs:
How can I find a tether anchor so we can use the tether with her seat? I have looked at EZ-on, but I can’t tell if that would be safe since it’s not made for this vehicle. Could I use one made for another car?Either a different car all together or maybe even a newer Jeep? I thought maybe all the anchors were basically the same and could be used interchangeably, but I am all about safety and don’t want to do a workaround that isn’t safe. Please help! My husband is persistent and will find a way to make it happen no matter what. I feel the pressure of making sure it’s a safe way.

You can't use a part made for another vehicle without approval of the manufacturer; they have different strength and placement requirements.

An anchor from a child restraint manufacturer is a possibility. The ideal would be one made for your seat but few manufacturers manufacturers supply them now.

An Ez-On HDTA is definitely a possibility. They have been giving permission to use with other seats on a case by case basis as long as the total weight of child and seat doesn't exceed 168 lbs. Even if they don't, you could make a reasonable parental decision to use the product that way and I'm unaware of any real risk in doing so as long as you follow their installation instructions and the 168 lb limit. (Or, of course, you could use one of their vests with it, so it's approved.)

Thank you so much for your answer!
Any idea how I can get an EZ-on anchor? When I look at their list of distributors, there are none near me and I can’t find one that ships, or I don’t see the anchor on their site. I see all over that people are saying they’re using them, but not sure how they’re getting them.

There should be some distributors that ship. The part number is 100-H. Googling the brand and part number does bring it up for shipping for me. Good luck.
