2 inches from top of seat?

I measured dd2 like post 7 http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=256959
with the dvd case and got 2 inch from her head to the top of her seat. This was uninstalled. I have at least an inch right before she outgrows the seat?

Yes, but I would try it installed, too.

I wouldn't trust any uninstalled measurements. Not only do things change when installed, but it can vary between cars a bit too, because the angle of the vehicle seats can be different, at least that's been my experience. HTH.

Also, what seat is she in? We had Britax convertibles and those were one inch from shell, but they aren't all. Some have 40" rules, while I think I've read the Radians are 1.5" from shell. Is that right? HTH. Great job keeping her RFing!!!

Its her infant seat onboard 35 i know its a 32 inch height limit and 1 inch from top and she was 30 inches on sept 17 and she is just at the top slot.

Sorry for my misunderstanding. I had thought part of the question was whether the limit was one inch from the top.

Just trying to find out if we have any time left in this as a back up. Most likely too close for comfort. I know it wont last 6 months til tax time. I guess my dd is bigger then most 13 months.
