1960 pickup with car seat

Is it legal and/or safe for me to transport my 1.5 or 3 year old in a car seat in my 1960 pickup? Both front facing. The vehicle has locking belts and no airbags. We’re in B.C. Canada for reference.

You would have to check the laws of an individual state or province as to legality. Many have laws pertaining to the use of car seats, some include wording about proper use. Depending on the truck, it may or may not be able to properly secure a child safety seat. I would definitely recommend that you consult a local technician for to determine if a child of that age can be correctly restrained in a classic car or other older vehicle.

In Canada, forward facing seats must use the tether by law. You won't have anchors, so the only legal option would be rear facing.
