I find myself reaching more and more for my point'nshoot and kind have gotten out of taking pics, so I'm thinking of selling my d40. It's 6.1 megapixel, includes original box and instructions, battery and charger, and 18-55 lens. A few scratches on the lcd. It works great. We had it sent off last year to have the flash and autofocus fixed, well the autofocus isn't working again, so you have to manual focus. What would be a fair price to list it if I decide to let it go? thanks!

I think it not having autofoces will be a huge drawback for people. Is it still under warranty? I would have it fixed and then try to sell it.

in the D40 there is no auto focus motor in camera. So it would be the lens. So your lens isn't working properly. You would have to stick to American people as the warranty would not work up in Canada. I would think because of the problems maybe $200.
We paid $500 for mine a couple years ago and it is in perfect working order. I would sell mine for $300. But because your lens is not working properly I would knock it down to $200ish

You're right, I forgot about the autofocus not being in the camera on this one. Sorry op!
