Which car seat

My friend needs a spare seat for her hubby's car. It's a current model BMW 3-series. She would like it to fit her 1 year old and 3 year old (22 and 29 lbs respectively. She will keep the seat RFing (I'm hoping) b/c I told her not for FF her 1 year old yet. The 3 year old is pretty small so he will fit RFing well. Hopefully he won't object:) Anyway, what seat would fit best in a small back seat. I'm thinking either an EFTA or TF so they won't have to rethread the harness for each child.

I really don't know which seat would fit the kids best but I would go for one with a no rethread harness. I babysit and switch seats around all summer. Its a pain to rethread and if I was buying for my own kids would invest in a seat that did not need rethreaded.

If they only need the one seat I would get the TF, they won't have to rethread the harness depending on the child that is riding it in because it's so easy to change the harness height. I don't know much about the EFTA but I do have the TF and love it. It seems like it would be a bigger seat but I've seen several people get them in smaller back seats.

The EFTA fits better in smaller back seats than the TF does. I have a TINY back seat & have found that the EFTA offered the most room while RF over any other seat I have used RF back there.

However the TF does fit RF in my car. Just not quite as well.
