Got our Radian from Kohls today!! (now with install pics)

I'll update with install pics as soon as the batteries on the camera charge!!

Question...why does Radian attach the Latch strap to the car seat with that little strap? It's kinda annoying!

I'm super excited i got a good install in my car, a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. Pretty sure the only reason it works behind my driver seat (FF marathon behind passenger) is because i'm so darn short and have the seat way up anyway! It touches the back of my seat, but the car owner manual doesn't prohibit that (and it doesn't alter the angle of the seat) I got a good tight fit with Latch, very little movement at the belt path.

Now, movement at the top of the seat is acceptable, right? I did top tether it to the leg of the front seat. It's tight, but not altering the angle so that helps to stop the movement.

AND, it's a 10/08 DOM so we're good RF to 40lbs!!!!! I can't remember...what is the expiration date on radians?

I'll be back later to post install pics and have you guys check it out..and action pics when DS wakes from his nap!

Install pics: Any advice/opinions? Does he seem to fit well in the seat?

Yay!! I wondered what the DOM on those seats would be since they were at SUCH a good price!

To answer your quesitons- Car seat manufacturers are required to attach the LATCH strap to the seat in some way. If it's in your way you can take it off.

Movement at the top of a RF seat is totally fine.

Radians are good for 8 years, so you still have lots of life left!

Thanks!!

I tried to get the Latch strap out, but couldn't. The way it was attached, i could get the actual latch buckles through the strap to get it out!

PP's answered your question, but I can ask one for you?

What's that strap going across your Marathon? I'm totally curious? The one right at the 'bend' of the MA.

Oh, i think it's the latch adjuster strap (for the MA). I had moved it up out of the way because i was attempting to get the radian installed right next to the MA (failed, MA is too wide)
