2005 Ford Expedition, 3rd row outboard rf'ing seatbelt. It was a pain in the middle row, and would not go upright more than 45 degrees. Dh and I had fought and fought with it and every time we would put Kaitlin in it, it would just recline back to 45 degrees. The 2nd row is captains chairs outboard and they are pretty flat, so I decided to try the 3rd row because it's much more slanted. It took about 30 seconds, literally. It's more solid than with latch in the 2nd row, and she's so much happier being more upright. Add another 10 seconds for the tether and the total install was less than a minute. I checked and checked because it couldn't really have been that easy, but it was. I will take pictures when dh gets home from work with the truck if it's not raining. I didn't think to take them yesterday when I did it.

Yay! Sounds like the RF LATCH install in the third row of my Sienna. Hate it in the middle row.

Yep, loved mine RF in the 3rd row of my 04 Expedition. FF thats another story with the belt stalk for the center position.

My LATCH hooks are a pain for RF the RN in the 2nd row. I have 3 seats instead of captians chairs and everytime the hooks would cause the boot not to sit right in the seat. I could get an acceptable install with the l/s belt 2nd row, but I am with you on that they go much easier in the 3rd row. :D

We have the 3 seats across the middle row, too. I haven't tried it in the middle seat, but the outer 2 are basically captains chairs. It was ok with latch there, but not great, though it did move less than in inch. The seatbelt in the middle row for rf'ing was worse, and I had to use the locking clip to keep the seat from tipping over. I wasn't too excited about having her in the 3rd row, but the seat installs perfectly rf'ing with the seatbelt. We don't have any latch in the 3rd row, and the only ff'ing tether is for the center.
