Question True Fit Question

So, I just walked in the door with 2 True Fit's!

We went with the Aurora (not sure if it's going to be too warm for my babies and make them sweaty, the Aurora seems to be the same fabric as the infant carriers) - vs. the Misty Morning which is all velour.

Anyhow, question is - my babies are both around 19lbs & 28", do we HAVE to use the infant insert??

Also, can I just use the head pillow and not the insert??
