That looks too loose to me. Can you pinch the harness (horizontally) at his shoulders? Or do your fingers slip right off when you try? My guess would be yes you can pinch, and that means it's too loose.

Very much too loose. If you can pinch anything at the shoulder, like in the photo, it's too loose.

That's very loose. I saw it in the first pic. Move the clip lower, open it if it will make it easier, then tighten at the hips, pull the harness adjuster strap till you can't pinch at the shoulders, reclip and raise it nipple level.

I have noticed a lot of harnesses loose at the hips and tummy area but tight at the shoulders because of the chest clip. I don't know why it does this with some seats.

Is that as tight as it will go? If so I would check and make sure that they splitter plate in the back is not hung up on something. I would think that he should fit well in that seat as he is even/over the bottom slots.

I know this doesn't help at all but I had the exact same problem with the Como, I could not get it any tighter at all. It wasn't caught on anything, it was on the splitter plate correctly it just would not tighten enough for her. I ended up selling it after never using it, it just would not fit.

The problem with that seat is that there is only one set of loops that attach to the splitter plate and the straps are so long the splitter plate ends up all the way under the seat at the adjuster and then can't tighten any more. It would be such an easy fix for Recaro, just add more loops, like on the TF (and some other seats). Does anyone know if this was fixed on the G2 Como?
