We just bought a used 2006 Odyssey EX-L this week and I have some questions! Firstly, what are the LATCH limits? Also, how should I care for the leather seats? Ummm... I guess I need to look at my list because I think I had more but this'll tide me over for now.

thanks Pixels - I just realized that dd was a smidge over 40lbs (40.3) when we were at the doctors...............have to change it to seatbelt tomorrow morning.

jdchic3 - congrats on your "new" Oddy. I just got an 05 in June. My leather seems to be fine - I have both an MA and RE on my leather seats and have seen no damage when I've removed them.........

I was meaning more how to clean and condition the leather? I'm really not worried about the kids' seats ruining it.

I don't have leather vehicle seats, but I do have leather furniture. I got some leather wipes at WM. Kinda like a baby wipe, you just use them to rub down the leather once a month.

I use products from www.griotsgarage.com Their leather care stuff is awesome.

This is what I do about once a month...

Vacuum the seats, and pull the seams apart with my hands, and use this brush (bottom one in the picture to loosen all the food, and debri inside the seams.

Then I clean the leather using this cleaner, with this sponge. After the leather has been cleaned, I buff the leather with a cloth diaper/burp cloth.

Then I finish up by spraying this leather spray to help the car maintain it's new leather smell. Mmmmmmm.

For just normal cleaning I use this interior cleaner, on the leather, as well as the rest of the interior of the car.

I like a good detailed car. It's a neurosis of mine

I also wanted to mention that you read that owner's manual word for word, because that dang van has so many cool hidden features :)

I just found a new one yesterday, and I have had my van for going on 5 years

Oh wow! I have just skimmed things I wanted to know about. Now I think my manual might be my new novel. Lol!

Thanks too for the tips about the leather! That's basically how I was thinking I'd clean it. Ever clean your carpet in yours?
