What to do with *my* used seat

We're getting close to end of our Radian's usefulness (but we're not there yet.) I was cleaning it up tonight and wondering what I should do with it when we're done.

My issue is this: the seat has had a hard life, and it shows. There are cracks along both sides of the EPS (and the EPS in this seat is not replaceable. SK told me it was fine to duct tape it, which I have.) The foam is compressed in places (either from me pressing against it while installing or DS flinging his head against it while raging.) The plastic near the belt path is a bit chewed up from latch plates rubbing against it.

*I* still consider the seat safe (obviously, since it's still our primary seat,) but do you think its appropriate to pass the seat on?

Just wondering.

I should specify... I don't mean pass it to children of my own ('cause I'd have no issues with that,) but pass it on to another family. I guess my concern with that is that they may not have the knowledge to fully assess the seat and make their own parental judgement as to whether it's suitable for *their* child. (i.e. They're just taking my word on it - which, I know, tons of parents do every day when they buy a used seat.)

Would you (general you ;)) buy or take my seat if it was what you needed?

(BTW, the seat is an 07/07.)

Sounds like cosmetic issues... I'm sure the structural integrity is just fine and someone would much appreciate it if they can't afford a new one. :)

Donation?

A teen parenting organization or a program for needy families would really appreciate ANY carseat - better to give one that is clean and not expired unlike the other donations they get (I'd know!)
