What do you think of seats that were clearanced at Target and now at Goodwill? They have a snugride that is new in the box and still in the plastic.
It is labled salveage missed markdown, which from my understanding means Target just did not want it in the store.

Yes, that means that it did not sell at a clearance price where Target could make any profit on it, so they instead donated it to a charitable organization (Goodwill) so they could take a write-off instead. It's new, and safe to use. I wish they did it in my area, I've never seen seats at Goodwill, but I've heard that some people get really good deals!

That is very common in this area(raleigh/durham) we see a ton of Target stuff at the local good wills. Especially seasonal. I would love to find a brand new seat at that price.

Ketchupqueen is correct. When items at Target go salvage they get donated to local charities. I know that a car seat still in it's box was donated a few months ago because it was found in our backroom unlocated so it was never marked down so that went to Goodwill.

Items that get defected out (cannot be sold) also get donated if they can still be used. Some examples at my store are open bags of dry dog/kitty food go to the local animal shelter. Opened baby/women's items that are considered safe or can be sterilized (think bottles that the package has been damaged) go to the local women's shelter. Crushed food boxes go to the local food pantry. Clothing items (including shoes) usually go to Goodwill.

That is awsome. I wish I could find a NIB infant seat for $35! I will hopefully be needing one in the next year, so I would buy it in a heart beat!

That sounds nice! I know for sure we don't have that here yet.... Target is still being built... we are just getting one!

I got a Evenflo Titan for $35 at our local Hudson's Treasure Hunt Store =) it was originally from Babies R Us... still had all the BRU tags and stickers.
