I had a TF. I didn't like it. I have no idea what makes me think the TFP will be any different? I hated the continous harness and reaching the harness adjuster RFing. Plus the sides were so far away from my kids head.
Now I know my DD was tiny and DD2 is much larger and may not have the narrowness problem E had. And I know the adjuster problem has been addressed.
My big problem is for when baby #3 comes. Baby will be in the 2nd row captains chair with the other chair stowed (dodge grand caravan). The two older ones will be in the 3rd row. Shes in 2 XT's right now. I tried and I can't get more than a 45 degree angle in the 3rd row and it won't fit behind the captians chair with the captians chair being where it should be. She could go on the other side but it makes me nervous having no seat in front of it. Plus I couldn't tether it so I have a potentially older taller larger child in a seat with nothing to prevent downward rotation and nothing to prevent rebound. I knwo there is no statistical basis to prove that's an issue, but to me, it makes me nervous
If I got a TF I could solve the rebound problem but not the rotation problem. But then I thought maybe it would fit behind the captians chair where the Radian wouldn't fit. I have no clue if thats true or not. I can't think of any other seat to put back there. I hate the MA rear facing and we gave those up long ago. The EFTA is too short and the knobs don't work RFing in my car. The MR has too high of sides (too hard to buckle. We had one and I didn't like it) She needs a tall shelled seat. She's 31 lbs and 36" but has a 15.5-16" torso and a giant head so she actually takes up more room in RFing seats than my 42" 4 year old!
So those that have the TFP. What do you think of it? I liked the idea of the Radian for ease of buckling (no sides) since I have to climb back there. I wonder if the TFP sides will make it hard to buckle while hunched over back there.
Help!
