Suggestions needed for 97 Grand prix...

We are looking to get a seat for DH's car as our DD is officially out of her infant seat....He is driving a 97 grand prix and so I am a bit curious as to what would fit nicely in there?

In my truck we have the boulevard cs which I really like, we are thinking of the advocate, but I think maybe it will be a bit big for his car - We also considered the other new seat (With the air) Forget the name right now but it just came in at tru.

My only concern with the new one is that since its brand new to the market is it more likely that it could have recalls or not meet expectations, it just seems to be weird to have air in it - couldnt it like deflate:rolleyes:

Apparently the advocate is just the boulevard with the extra cushioning for side protection, and the boulevard has been around forever it seems.

Anyways any opinions would be much appreciated!

I am new to this :) but A few questions first.
1. What is your daughters weight
2. Torso height* get her to sit up against a wall and measure her from the floor to her shoulders*
you are obviously planning to RF :) *thumbs up* It is important to know that all seats released in Canada are tested the same and if it wasn't safe it would not have been approved for use in Canada. I haven't had much experience with this seat, but I did play with it in BRU with my 34 month old and she did look pretty comfy in it. I am not quite sure how the air cushions work either, but I am sure one of the other ladies can help you there.

My Sister in Law had a 2001 Grand AM... and our Radian fit quite nicely RF in the center seat :) Now that worked for us, but SIL is about 5'8" and was still able to drive quite comfortably.

anyone else wanna take a stab at this???????????????????????????

I wouldn't bother with measuring "torso height". It's only a rough estimate as to how a child will fit in a seat in an actual vehicle, and it's even tougher to get an accurate measurement with an infant than with an older child. Weight and age are important, however, in deciding what seats to consider.

Thanks for the replies, We tried our Britax in there and werew not able to get a very tight fit ourselves...I think it may just be to big. I had another post and I think I have narrowed it down to the tru fit, I am still a bit hesitant because there seems to be so much room between the side of the seat and the head/body....any input on this? I am sure its fine but its just so different then her current blvd, seems ther is so much room for her head and neck to move in a crash.

She is almost 11 months old and weighs approx 20 lbs, I am hoping zellers will let us try it in our car and I am just still trying to talk myself into the seat as I see so many great reviews, but that was my issue when I saw her in it....

I am hoping it will fit nicely in his car though as I really would like a rf to 35 seat!
