I had a minor accident yesterday - we were stopped trying to merge into traffic, lady in front of me went, then stopped and I rear ended her - she had paint on her bumper and I have a little bend in my hood, and her tail pipe made a nice circle cut out in my bumper - she had a durango, I had the malibu. I have the GN and a MA in the car, neither occipied - should I replace? Insurance compnay said they have no clue:confused:

The MA doesn't need to be replaced, but the GN does, Graco states after ANY accident. But keep the cover so that you have a backup for your new GN!

LOL! definately - I couldn't put the cover in the trash - that would be criminal! Should I try to get something from graco for the insurance compnay since they are clueless?

If they fight you on it, yes that will help. If they just don't know and you tell them "Well, Graco says replace car seats after every accident, but I don't need to replace the Britax" and they say okay? Then, nah, I wouldn't waste a phone call :)

I have USAA and they replaced my roundabout back in 2004 but my car was totaled when we got hit. I just sent the adjuster an email and told her the Britax does not require replacement but the manufacturer of the nautilus does. I also attached the manual and told her on page 14 it says it should be replaced after any accident so hopefully they won't give me a hard time, at least if they do i only have to replace the cheaper seat - we have 5 other seats so it isn't a huge deal but it is nice to have a seat for both girls in all the cars - i hate switching them around
