My class starts next week!

I'm becoming a certified tech next week! I start my class on Thursday, 8am-5pm, then have school 5:30-9:30, and do it all over again on Friday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday!

I am so excited. I have no idea why, but it'll be nice to share my knowledge of carseat safety. I am excited for the carseat check at the end of the course, too.

What can I expect? Is it a combo of hands on and lecture type classes? Do I need to bring anything? Carseats maybe?

Have fun! My class was a blast.

It is a combination of lecture and hands on. Then there are written quizzes and skills tests.

My instructors just asked that we bring a car and the car manual. If you have an older car, that's very helpful. All the cars we had to work with had the same types of seat belt systems. They had tons of car seats for us to use.

I generally do NOT recommend letting the class use your car seats. Let's just say that your classmates will not be as careful with car seats as you probably are. ;) If you have some unique seat, you might want to bring it one day to show others, but not for class exercises. :twocents:

Awesome, thanks for the tips!

I don't think I have my car manual. Just the Hane's manual for repairs. :(
