Similar problem as splash (old carseat)

Here's my problem, I was showing a house the other day (I sell real estate part time) and I was parked next to the owners vehicles. I happened to look in their car and there was a waaaay expired century t-shield and a also expired evenflo joyride. I know they have at least 3 kids that should be in seats so my question is should I say something? If I was just in walmart or something I definitely would, but since this is kinda job related I don't know. Also, the thing that really bugs me is that they're in a town that when they do carseat inspections they give out really nice seats for any donation you can afford. Safety 1st designer 22 seats, evenflo titans, evenflo combo seats and turboboosters.

That's tricky being that it's a work-related situation. Anything you say could be taken the wrong way, and unless you are completely self-employed, it could come back to haunt you at work if they complain about an agent "butting their nose into personal matters". So no, I would not say anything directly to the parents in this circumstance.

But... could you write/type up a friendly note, explaining the expired state of their seats, the dangers, and a few good suggestions for newer ones? Of course, include the URL for this board!!! ;)

Thats what I would do, too. Type up a nice little note including common car seat mistakes (including expired seats) and info on the local car seat check up station (and of course this board!) You could even make it look like a little brochure, so really nothing personal, and then you could use it whenever you have this problem in the future. I think there are some flyers you could print out online, but I don't know where to find them - maybe papooses has the links? But you would have to add your local info to them. I definitely wouldn't say anything to the person because its work related and sometimes people take our advice all wrong!
