DD is 2 (35lbs), we are in canada so only option to keep her rfing which would be the complete air which at the price tag of $299 what a hunk of junk (we looked at it yesterday)

It is installed seatbelt, middle in a ford Explorer. it is pulled out some from the seat bight but we still get the head slump

Can you recline the seat of the SUV? I reclined mine just enough to keep Benjamin's head from slumping. Are
you using the insert as head support? That helps my son.

No that seat does not recline it is a 80/20 split so the 20 part does recline but then we won't be able to access the back 2 seats which we need to on occasion.

yes we do have the insert as a head support

Insert + recline base out -- my dd would just tuck her head into a corner of the head pad and snooze away. Without it, she couldn't sleep because her head would drop constantly. If you don't have an insert, try a small pillow. Might help. :)
