Grandma Knows at Kidz in Motion?

I was reading the program for this year's Kidz in Motion conference, and I noticed that Grandma Knows was one of the exhibitors.

Please, please, please tell me someone on this board is at the conference this weekend! I'd love to hear a report about the Grandma Knows Let's Ride. I wonder what they have to say about their product, any testing, etc. I also wonder if they brought samples of the various Let's Rides with them.

Yeah, my jaw totally dropped when I saw them listed as an exhibitor. I thought I was seeing things.

I thought NHTSA was dealing with them? (By that I thought it meant they'd stop them from selling the seats?)

OMG, those products are horrible! I hope they get an earful at that conference! Better yet, maybe they'll be "escorted" out!

Their RF concept is bad, no question about it. But their FF seat is most likely fine. It takes what people always wanted in the tote n go (LATCH) and created it. It's little more than a harness that plugs into the car, not horribly different from the SG Go.
I'm glad they're there, they'll get a sense of "dangling baby from headrest- not cool" and the "public" will get to see their stuff and maybe find out some of it isn't horrid.

Wow, and their prices are pretty high.
Hopefully that will stop most people from buying them.

It *is* horrid if they haven't had it pass testing. AFAIK their is no way to simulate their infant seat set up on a crash test sled. If they haven't tested and had their infant seat pass then why should we think their other seats were tested?

Wow. I can't believe I've never seen these before. I'm also very curious about their display at KIM, and wish I could have been there to ask questions and see them in person.

WOW! That RF seat is all kinds of wrong. However the FF seat is not awful. It would serve a purpose for someone who would be traveling & needed the seat for the occasinal ride. However I am thinking it would awful if the kid fell asleep in that thing!

I also hope someone went to the KIM conference & can see this thing.

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I'm absolutely dismayed KIM took their registration

That was my first thought, too. Is KIM doing any kind of research on their applicants?

I'm very curious to hear what kind of showing, if any, they actually had at the conference.

Just out of curiosity a friend of mine tried to order from them....they were not able to fulfill her order for any of the products (she was going to donate them to someone here to "look over"- she asked them a number of times but they were never able to process the order and also didn't want to share crash tests due to their "lawyers advice".

Maybe they were supposed to go, but didn't since NHTSA was after them  Same reason they wouldn't sell their seats.

I am sooooo tempted to call the woman I know that went. I have her cell phone number. hmmm.....

Ha! I called her :D Grandma Knows Best did not make it. They are having a hard time getting their stuff approved. Gee... wonder why  She did say she has alot of info to share with me..... I can't wait. She'll call me Mon night or Tues.

If no one here went and has info (I'm sure someone must have gone!), I'll share.

Someone needs to give grandma one of those latchhook rugs, take away her internet access, and turn her on to the glories of daytime tv before she kills someone.

LOL! No, I think someone should encourage her to start working on the development of safer vaccines in her free time. She can cook them in her kitchen next to batches of chocolate chip cookies.

Very interesting that they aren't selling at the moment. Makes me very curious about the future of Grandma.

Did you ever hear anything from her? I'm curious what she had to share with you.
