Was the SafeGuard Child Seat discontinued? I can't find it on their website anymore, and I can't find it on any of the online stores. Did it get discontinued in the last few months?

If anyone picks up the SafeGuard Child Seat, they'll have to offer it at a much lower price point.

With so many other HWH seats on the market now, the features of the SGCS are nice, but not worth $300 more than the Nautilus.

OP, you can probably still find it somewhere. The date of manufacture might be a little old, but they have 7-year life spans, so you'd likely get some good usable time out of one.

I actually already have one (bought it earlier this year) and I'm not hugely impressed, particularly having spent $300 on it. The reason I asked was concern that my seat might have a recall I hadn't found. My MIL was looking for one for her vehicle and I couldn't find it, so that's why I was wondering. It's a good seat, but not a $300 seat. I wonder if I can get a spare cover for it though... hmmm.

There are no recalls on SafeGuard seats.

You might call IMMI (SafeGuard) to see if they have any covers. The company still very much exists; they're just not making car seats anymore.

By the way, you got a deal. I got a SafeGuard back when they were $450. I actually love mine, but I didn't have many other options at the time. I would not buy it now.
