Okay.. so I bought an EFTA on clearance for $70. Not really loving it though.. maybe it's the knobs.. maybe just the look of it.. not sure. Anyways.. If I keep it for A, how long do you think he'll fit in it? Or I could give it to my niece.. she's tiny and would last for a long time in it.. or I could just return and put the money towards something else... I really want a tfp, but don't know if I should go RN for the weight??? His torso is 14", how much do they slow in torso growth after a year? Of course he has two perfectly fine seats (except they only go 33lbs), but the quest for the perfect seat continues

Uh... a 14 inch torso at 14 months....and 29 pounds.... Have you looked at the Comfort Air?

My best guess is it might get him RF to 2 years.

Holy Torso! My 4 1/2 year old(though I know is small torso) has a 14.5 inch torso.

I would get a true fit or a radian(that RF to 40 pounds).

I agree I don't like the complete air for that price.

Wow, that's quite a torso! :p For his primary seat, I'd get a True Fit or True Fit Premier (either one, depending on your budget and preference) if you don't want the Complete Air (which is understandable).

As for the EFTA, well, it's up to you. You got a great deal on it, so if you can use it or pass it on go for it. If not, put the money toward a different seat. :)

That is the exact seat I saw at Walmart the other night for 130, I opened the box lol... maybe it was really 70 bucks? just not marked? I want an EFTA with the old crotch buckle so badly

They were $105 last week, and marked down this week lower.. had two left after I took one.

OMG! What a freakin torso he has on him! That is pretty much EXACTLY how Marcus fits in his EFTA & he is almost 3! He also has a 14 inch torso. What a cutie he is though. I absolutly ADORE my EFTA though. Now DH does as well b/c he hated the TF! So I say to pass it along to the tiny neice. However he would more than likely have close to another year in it, so it is up to you. If you're not feeling the love, then I say pass it b/c that is how I was with the TF & I NEVER did grow to love that seat, or really even like it.

My dd had a 13.5 inch torso at about 9 months...she had a 14.5 inch torso at 22 months and now at a month shy of 5, her torso is 16. So ya..it really does slow down, for some kids.

I had a TF, but didn't  it when I had it, but I kind of miss it now :( I didn't realize how long his torso was until he was next to my cousins lo who is two weeks older.. A is about an inch taller, but S looked taller because he was all legs.. I picked him up and was like OMG he has legs! A has pretty short legs.. and if he ends up like my bro, he always will. My bro is 6'4" but only has an inseam of about 31".. long body

Hubs is over at home depot right now walmart is next door, I told him to go over and find that EFTA that I opened and find out if it is 70 bucks and if so grab it (that is if it is still even there.. but heck I opened it... who would want to buy it? (I know it was bad but I had to check the buckle on it so I would get an old one:whistle:)

hmmm that sucks, DH just called, my efta at my walmart just like the one you got is still actually 140  Even though it is missing its info tag and not in the correct box (it is in an 09 DOM box but the seat is an 08 dom on it. ) the woman was rather unpleasant to DH so he said he wasn't going to bother trying to get money off for the missing tag
