My 4 1/2 year old in a no back booster! *This is not safe*

He is 35-37 pounds(His weight fluctuates).

He was messing around in the car and wanted to sit in the booster(don't worry we were in a parking lot and we never moved :p ).

So, he has a tiny torso to begin with, but I was scared to see how well the FPSV booster fit him. It is on the widest setting too.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT SAFE! (notice his real ride behind him)

He is now 38 pounds and 42 inches! HOLY GROWTH SPURT BATMAN! (He was weighed and measured today at the doctor). He feels heavy too.

It looks great. If he could just stay put for the entire ride, I think he'd be quite safe. I can't see where his knees bend, though- if it's much before the edge then he'd be very prone to slouching out of position even if he meant to stay still.

It actually looks like a really good fit (but it's sort of hard to tell with the lap belt). When do you plan on starting booster training? C is getting a high back booster soon- probably sometime between his b-day and easter.

Oh gosh I just thought with the red clippy thing he would fit perfect in this seat!

Well, I already know he would sit perfectly still in a booster. He has sat in one in grandparents car a few times for emergencies and when I forgot to leave them a harnessed seat(good thing they have an extra high back over there).
I let him sit in a booster to go to a friends house at the end of our subdivision(maybe 1 mile down a 25 mph road). a

I will let him be in a booster full-time with grandma and grandpa when he is 5 (as long as he is 40 pounds). Not sure on my car.

He wants a booster so bad, but I like him in a harness if possible. He seems so teeny to me.

He could still fit rearfacing.

He does fit awseome in the:

Parkway
FPSVD(with back on)
Graco Turbooster (High back)

I love the FPSV for smaller kids (when required). My 6 year old is 37lbs, and sits properly and looks great in it, so I'm ok with him in it on occasion. He also fits nicely in the parkway. Anything bigger then those and he looks tiny in the seat.
