How does she look?

DD1 got her new seat today. I thought I would have her fit checked here. I think she looks good but since I like the finite fit of harness seats I want to double check :D

She likes it and says it it much more comfortable than the TB.

And out of curiosity. DD2 is 29-30 lbs and is 37.5", just under the minimums of the seat. I don't think that .5" or 1/2# is going to improve that fit :( :p

This is NOT an appropriate seat for this child! She rides RF!!

It can be hard to tell angles and stuff from a pic, since shirts might be rumpled or whatever, but ti looks to me like the belt is fitting over her stomach?? I generally want to see the belt laying almost parallel to the floor, over the top of the legs, as if it is going to prevent the child from floating upwards if the gravity were turned off, if that makes sense? That looks like a tummy belt to me.

Whoa, that's a scary fit for a small kid!!! No way would she make that work, even at the minimums. Gah.

Your older daughter looks pretty good. I'd see if I could get the lap belt a smudge lower on her hips. Otherwise I wouldn't stress over it. It looks solidly on her hips, not on her belly, just not low on her hips.

Looks like it's on her thighs to me... looks fine :)

Wish they'd raise the minimums..... 40lbs and 40in would be so much more appropriate :(

I tried my 46"/47lb DD in a Monterey last week, and the fit was borderline for her- the shoulderbelt was a tad outside, and the lap belt a tad high. The fit was anything but borderline, just poor, on my 42"/40lb DD. I was glad to get to try one out, since I'd been thinking of having my parents get one (to go with the Parkway they have) for our periodic visits to Los Angeles.

I would also try to see if you could get that lap belt a little lower. It's a titch high for my tastes.

Thank you :)
We can get the lap belt lower, I just tried. I'm not sure if it is the seat belt or the way she buckles but now I know to look for it and get in the habit to make sure it is across her theighs/hips.
