Oh I hate hormones! LOL I couldn't watch it without crying. I breed horses, and they are a huge part of my life. That was not what I was expecting to see, and I'm just so happy to see that wonderful video.

Thank you!

I think I have seen that before. Did that happen like within the past year or so?

Being a Horse Rider and, HOrse lover that was a beautiful and wonderful story. Those women were EXTREMELY brave to do what they did. They could have been trampled over quite easily and have drowned themselves.

According to the vid (I had to watch it a couple of times due to dd's fascination). The stranding occured on the night of 31 Oct 2006 & Rescue was on 3 Nov.

Those were very lucky horses. The water was up on their hooves during the feedings from the boat. As the waters dropped, they got a little more space on their little bit o' 'island'.
Lots of courage from the women out on their own horses. :) Anything could have gone wrong. I noticed also they had some sort of guideline out on the water to help mark the path.

I love horses, but my mom's the horse nut. Dogs are my passion. But I had tears streaming down when I first watched this too. I'm such a sucker for happy endings!

Thanks for the link, amazing. I'm bookmarking it to show to my mom on Christmas. My grandpa raised Thoroughbreds and champion Clydesdale show horses, but sadly he died way before I was born and my grandmother had to sell all of their horses. Some of the Clydesdales were sold to Budweiser. We're big fans of the commercials featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales, and anything horsey in general. :)

My bestfriend/neighbor has a Clydesdale from Budweiser that was born with the incorrect markings, so she bought it.

He is a blast to ride. So incredibly smooth, and the best temperment. OF course we ride bareback and not with a saddle. Can't find one to fit him LOL

LOL about not finding a saddle large enough for the Clydes. Some of my farm dwelling cousins have Clydesdales and have trained them to pull a wagon or cart for local parades. They're like oversized lap puppies, very friendly.
