Roundabout 50

My DD is currently about 21 lbs and *maybe* 30 inches. She is currently RF in a Marathon although I will need a new seat for my neice soon who is about 24 lbs and maybe 28 inches at 2.5 years. Do you think I should purchase another Marathon, or do you think my DD would fit in the roundabout 50 for awhile? Also, at what age do children start to outgrow their Marathons? Thanks!

If I remeber correctly the RA50 (Roundabout50) is a MA (Marathon) without all the "extras". No HUGS (the plastic thingies on the harness), no LATCH bars but still can be teathered while rear-facing. It also "only" harnesses to 50lbs but most children outgrow seats in height before weight.

I honestly would chose the RA50 over the MA if given a choice.:twocents:

:yeahthat:

I have both & I love them both. Mostly, I just love my girly cover for my MA, and that's why DD has it. Plus the RA 50 wasn't out yet.

The only differences:

RA 50 has 3 crotch buckle positions, MA has one

MA has comfort & belly pads; RA 50 only has belly pads (this I don't like for little baby, but I may make the parental decision to borrow them from a MA. DISCLAIMER: BRITAX DOES NOT ALLOW FOR THIS!!)

MA has HUGS, RA 50 does not.

MA has LATCH bar, RA 50 does not

RA 50 goes to 50... MA goes to 60 (my almost 6 year old still fits in both... barely, but he does. And he only weighs 40 lbs!!)

HTH!!
