Snugride Owners: Question about expiration date?

I looked and looked at a seat at work yesterday, and in the manual, and couldn't find word one about expiration dates or 'do not use after xx-xx' or anything. Can you guys check your seats and manuals and see if there's anything I'm missing?

I had a couple come in due with twins and had 'almost 5 year old seats' from older baby and they 'know seats expire in 5 years'... so I told them Gracos are good for 6, so they are fine (FAQ on the site is down, naturally...).... but when I tried to prove it to them? zilch.

It's on a sticker. If the seat was five years old, the sticker had probably been pulled off.

My sticker was underneath the seat, on the interior of one of the downward pointing plastic bits that the seat rests on when used as a baby seat.

I have a 2003 Snugride, thats set to expire Dec of this year.

I took a pic, its uploading.

Its under the front part of the seat.

mine is just like MSK's. it's between the front harness adjuster and the lip of the shell.

here's what my manual says (page 19)-

STOP USING INFANT RESTRAINT AND BASE AND THROW IT AWAY after date molded on underside of the infant restraint.

edit: I just checked all 8 or 9 versions on gracobaby.com. They all have that same statement in section 4- somewhere between page 14 and 19.
