Wanted to share some useful info I found

I was on the clekbuzz.com website and on the top right hand side it has a link to the Canada US booster seat law guidelines. It has each province and state indivdually with the laws in that area. I thought it was neat and that it might be useful to some if they didn't know it was there.

Wow didn't know that Manitoba had the 2nd worse carseat/booster laws. At least it does say 5 yrs AND 50lbs otherwise legally the girls could be in just a seatbelt which is scary.

The one for California on page 4 seems to be wrong. It says age 5 and under.
The cut off age should be 6?

"Children MUST be secured in an appropriate child passenger restraint (safety seat or booster seat) IN THE BACK SEAT OF A VEHICLE until they are at least 6 years old or weigh at least 60 pounds. " (http://www.chp.ca.gov/community/safeseat.html)

ETA: ketchupqueen - understood your explanation. I just happen to interpret "5 and under" as until 5yrs old and felt confused.

It's just a wording difference. The law is that they must be in a seat until six, meaning that children 5 years old (and less than 60 lbs.) and under must be in a seat, at 6 they are no longer required by law.
