I don't know if I'd want to use this seat in the car after this!

Why? She didn't harm it? It would be nice if the kid would be RF, or if the straps were tighter, but she was just jiggling the seat. It gets more banged up than that in transit, and what she did is pretty comparable to rocking an infant seat. I don't think the seat was harmed at all.

Here is a good one. Mommy gets snippy at the comments as well.

A good one! Finally! Okay, the straps could be a smidge tighter on the smaller kid, and I think it might be twisted a bit, but still way better than most you see!

Here is another one that appears to be correctly used. Not top tethered, but that might not be an option.

But poor tao-tao. At least she's RF, right?

Oh, and just one more to make you smile! Rear facing, tight harness, chest clip properly positioned, bigger child (pretty much AT the limit for that seat RF). I approve.

I realize the first one is not an infant seat, but it looks like it's at a sixty degree recline forward facing.

The one where she's rocking him is not bad at all. I sent her a nice little link to the rearfacing video, I hope she enjoys it. :)

You know on Kyle's video, in the comments and the comments to his family, there are a lot of people mentioning their cosco seats, good to eighty pounds. I sent about four or five messeges are to them.

I sent a message to the person who made the rearfacing video, asking permission to put it on my myspace. She has read it but didnt' get back to me. :(

I just figured since it says not to play with it in the house...and we've heard recommendations for not using seats that have been dropped and returning seats that look like they've been treated roughly in shipping. It may not have been harmed, but I personally would never play with my seats like that and then use them in the car.

LOL -- I thought it was cute. At least she knows he's strapped in. Could be tighter, but probably was to get him used to it first. Good mommy, imo. :D
Car seats should not be fragile. It wasn't dropped or thrown around. I didn't think there was any abuse to it at all.
I liked watching the vid -- thanks for linking to it. I don't visit Youtube, so I wouldn't have seen it.

Car seats should not be fragile.

sometimes I worry about damaging my seats during installation. Especially my husky because I have installed it about 20 times so far this month in my mom's van trying to find a way to make it right. Now Im worried I may have stressed it to much??? :/

Oh, no way. your Husky is fine. You installing it is nothing, nothing like crash forces... and that thing is like solid granite, anyway :)

Are any of you old enough (like me) to remember the old Samsonite luggage commercials, where the gorilla jumped up and down on the suitcase and flung it around his cage (I'm sure he's in therapy now:p )and the luggage was just fine with no dents and not breaking open....I think the Husky/Regent is pretty tough!!!! Not like some other seats.

LOL -- I remember that too. Right up there with OJ dashing through the airport in the Hertz commercials.

LOL, yeah :).

Then you all must remember the special K, Can you pinch an inch? commercials.. I always want to reference that when telling how to pinch a harness to make sure it's tight enough... (or am I *really* old? lol)
