Notches on NEW AOEs?

I was looking at one of the new 50lb AOs at Wal-Mart yesterday, and I noticed there is a long U-shaped indentation on the side, near where an older child's head would be, that look suspiciously like something that would hold an overhead shield arm. It's not filled in or covered by anything more than fabric. I've never looked closely at the AO/Es before, so is that usual for them? It looked a lot what I have heard described as the Dorel "notches of death." Anyone else seen them?

Sorry I have no pictures - my camera's batteries are dead. :(

I'm headed up to BRU today; I'll take a look too. However, the child's head in an AOE is contained by the head rests unlike the other seats that caused problems so I don't think it's as huge of a deal.
