okay so with all the new 40lb rf seats that we have available now it's really got me thinking about getting a new seat for Connor.

He's been weighing 31lbs every morning after breakfast all week. He's about 39-40' tall (he wiggles a lot) and I'm pretty sure he has a 12-13 inch torso (that wiggle thing again). He's on the next to last harness slots on the ma rf and he's still right under when it's ff. My question is at his age with the height/weight growth he has left in his ma and avenue would you buy a seat to rf to 40lbs ? will he even need 40lbs rf ?

ETA: We have a 35lb marathon

I just flipped my 4.5 year old back rear facing, so yeah, I think it's worth it. I think rear facing until age 6 is ideal, now we have seats that will get some kids there! Mine will probably be 40 pounds during his next growth spurt, I'm hoping the summer will be over by then though!

If he is getting ready to out grow the MA by height, you have the money and the Radian will fit in your vehicle I would do it. Otherwise, I would make do with what I had and not beat myself over it when I turned the DC forwards.
