Well. Since we seem to be Radian obsessed and all.

How about another Radian thread? LOL.

Last year, we had a house fire. I had a Princess Radian in the van, installed FF. All accessories, manual, etc were all in the house. Okay, so, I was using it FF, and I can look up the manual online, so that's no biggie.

I took it apart to wash the cover, and one of the pieces of EPS foam was broken in half. Then Jack-Jack took off with all of the black brads to put the seat back on. Said seat is now in storage.

How much do you think it's going to cost to replace all the missing pieces? BTW, I have a HUGE issue with the harness, I talked to Russ and he was ZERO help. Just kept saying it was the way I had it installed. I don't think it *is - I can't get the harness to tighten up even when I *don't have it in the car. It's a huge process to get it tight enough when a kid is in it (hence, I haven't been using it at all in the past 10 mos).

Somebody tell me what to doooooo.

DOM is either early 2008 or late 2007.

I can't answer your questions, but it won't have the 40 lb limit with that DOM. Not sure if that's why you were wanting to use it.

No, it's not about the 40 lb limit. It's just being able to USE it, period. Which I can't since it's missing pieces *and the harness won't adjust right.

Personally, I'd chunk it to the curb and buy a new seat, if you even need a seat. That sounds like a lot of trouble and expense to put it all back together in usable form.

Yeah, that was my thought. It just makes me mad though because I only got a couple months use out of it. If it weren't for the harness, I'd order the plastic brads and put it back together (Russ swears I can use the foam even if it's broken). I just. I dunno. Darnit.

If you actually needed the seat, it would probably be cheaper to order the parts and put it back together than to buy a new Radian. Your siggy shows that all of your kids have good seats, so it doesn't seem worth the trouble.

I was hoping for a spare, and most specifically one that goes to RF.

Oh well, I guess.

I think I'm *most fried about the harness issue, and Russ just plain insisting that nothing *could* be wrong with it. Cos if it weren't for the harness, I probably would go to the trouble.

Do me a favor and fold it and look inside at the rivets that hold the seat pan together. I had a Princess Radian from that time frame and it was impossible to tighten and the seat pan was collapsing when my DD sat on it. Russ was absolutely sure it was user error (despite being a tech for a decade, *I* don't know how to tighten a harness:rolleyes:) and the seat pan just had an impression from my knee from installing it.(again ) The darn thing was missing a rivet.

btw, I got that same kind of attitude from him. I've been a tech for eight friggin' years. I think I got a handle on it, dude.
