Seats to 40 lbs

So what, are we up to three seats now that go to 40 lbs rear facing? MyRide, appropriately dated Radians, and the Air Protect?

Any other rumors of seats upping their limits?

Also, can I say I'm just a little bit sad? Youngest is 39.5 lbs, and he's had to be FF since he was 2!

At this point, it would be crazy for Britax NOT the put something out there. I don't know of anything yet though.

See, that is what frustrates me! I know they can make a great HW RF CS, because, um, THEY DO!

not sure about anyone else releasing anything soon - although Britax should be scrabbling to catch up

but I did want to point out that if i was Dorel I would be p!ssed that Radian announced the 40lb limit right after they did. I know a lot of people were wavering around the air protect but now it really isn't in the running anymore. if your spend $250 on a seat you might as well get an SKR. the only reason to get the airprotect now would be compatiblity issues with the SKR.

But, that's a considerable market still, really. I'm planning on the CAP to be able to RF it behind the driver's seat in our Corolla; the RN can only go behind the passenger (though I'm going to see if there's some way I can finangle it into the center too to get 2 RF RNs in there, so I can RF 2 of my kids in what I have already.)

Plus, it's orange. Orange is a gooooood reason to buy it if you ask my 5 year old. ;)

DS has been hovering at 39.5 ever since the My Ride was announced. The time I weighted him before that he was 36 so I was thinking about it....

Eh. Around here, sure, maybe, but Dorel has the brand recognition (with its Cosco brand) and, even more importantly to them, the BabiesRus and Walmart shelf space. And even once people know about the Radian, they'll hear about installation issues and will shy away from it especially because they can't find a local retailer to be able to try it in person before they buy it. I don't think Dorel cares much about the Radian at this point.
