Improved Tributes are out at BRU

I wondered where my floor model went last week, and then this week there was a new one out and, lo and behold, it has an A-lock adjuster (not the weird balanced metal plates it had) and 4 harness slots (not the bottom one, then the 5 inch gap to the middle ones that made it fit babies HORRIBLY). Honestly, how does it install? I'd rather use it now than the Scenera if it's better, because it at least has EPS foam. Oh, crumb, it only has a 30lb limit still... well, that's way more than most of my customers would ever consider RFing anyway

The tribute only has a 30 pound limit RF? We use tributes for program seats and they listed a 35 limit on the ones we had....I think. I may have to go check now. Hmmmm...maybe they aren't tributes.

http://www.evenflo.com/product.aspx?id=105&pfid=1977 But this page isn't the updated one, it still says 3 harness positions. I'll have to check the label on the side of the seat when I go to work, maybe it's 35? That'd be nice to have less of a mouthful when discussing seats' limits :D (ie, it's been getting too long to type that seats are 30/33/35/40 RF...easier if 35 and 40 are the only ones, lol)

I wouldn't be surprised if the BRU label had it wrong...they seem to get it wrong a lot. LOL.

How high is the top harness position? 40 or 50 lbs? Bottom most position? Overall cost of seat?

I loved my Tributes WAY better then the Sceneras...and because they install so upright FF, you get a lot more torso room in it then the Scenera despite is measuring nearly the same. It's a more solid feeling seat too. My only complaint was the big gap for rf, so it's great to hear they added another slot! WTG Evenflo!

Same as it ever was, that's why I didn't notice it was upgraded at first (and I did hear it was going to be improved from someone from Lifesavers). Low bottom slots, typical of Evenflos (7?) top slot about 15. $59, same as the Scenera (which had a short life at our store, no longer than 6 months and it's gone). I didn't even read the shelftag for it, I don't read any of them, lol, I suppose I should.... Maybe I'll try to install one tonight at work and if I like it better than the Scenera, we may have another decent cheap option, lol.

There will still be the Zeus Turn and the Coccoro. ;)

True, true. I was loving it for a moment there, pre-my ride, when I could point to the entire lineup of convertibles at work and say, 'Those all go to 35 pounds RF'...soooo simple. (it left room to describe other things that people are clueless about, like what 'tall top slots' means, or 'bad lapbelt fit'....):)

I think I'm going to get 2 of these when the time comes for my FF seats in dh's truck sine they install so well. I can't install a MA to save my life in his truck...so we will need something and this would be a great back up seat. :) It should serve just about any kiddo we get into care.

maybe we could get the Comfortsport bumped to 33lbs, Britax convertibles to 37lbs, maybe the Radian to 41lbs, just to make it fun! I was very impressed with the really cute pink Tribute I saw at Baby Depot, EPS foam, 35lb rf limit, improved harness adjuster, kudos to Evenflo for really improving their line. Just raise the limit on the Symphony to 50lbs---it is such a neat seat!
