Tether points for 3rd row Expedition?

It has to do with the overall vehicle weight (vehicles over a certain weight are exempt from the LATCH standards).Almost forgot to answer your other question--tethering isn't mandatory on Britax seats except for the Regent with a child over 50 pounds, but tethering any FF seat increases the safety of the seat.
There are optional anchors in the floor for all three second row seats. Some drilling is required, but there is a factory kit. There is also apparently one for the front seat.
