Cover question

Will a MA cover fit on a RA 50? I have a couple MA covers from my old MA that expired and I'm thinking about getting a RA 50 to replace it. I have a regular RA, but O only has an inch before he's at the 1 inch mark for RF and I don't want to turn him yet (17 months.)
ETA: baby catalog has the RA 50 for $152.99 (after the extra 10% off sponsor code) is that a good deal?

I'm sure Britax officially says NO. But...... I was playing at BRU one day and switched the covers on an MA and RA50. And.... it looked pretty good

Someone said they recently bought one at diapers.com for $130. But I haven't checked it out myself. If you can get a 15% off coupon for BRU that takes it to $170 (plus tax). Is there a current 10% off code for Baby Catalog?

I think the only difference in cover fit is the push button harness adjuster on the RA50 (vs. the under the cover metal one on MA)... so if you're fine with dealing with that little spot I'm sure it'd be an ok fit.

THe harness adjusters on the RA50 and MA are the same. Though, the RA50 adjuster is smaller, the slot in the cover is still the same size as the MA.

I was looking at them side by side at BRU the other day wondering the same thing, and it looked like the bottom harness slot was slightly different. The MA looks angled a little, up toward the middle, and the RA50 is straight across. That might cause a problem if you needed to use that slot. I'm one of the few people on here who doesn't own a MA (yet ) so someone who does can maybe confirm whether or not the bottom harness slot is, in fact, angled... or if it was just in my imagination...

The RA and MA shell dimensions are identical, so I don't know why not... though I'm sure Britax's official statement would be NO.
