How Bad is the Damage?

I was wondering had bad my MIL has damaged my Roundabout. When we went to the drive-in last night she decided to spray DS with bug spray while he was still straped in his seat. Of course I'm about to wash the cover, but I'm kinda worried about the harness. I just replaced the harness last year and I really don't want to replace them again if I don't have to because I have less than 1 1/2 year left on the seat.

Thanks,
Jessica

What kind of bug spray was it? If it were something like Off that had a lot of chemicals in it I would be inclined to replace the harness. If it were something like Burt's Bee's with more natural ingredients I might just try wiping it down and leave it. I would make sure you can get the smell out though, regardless. Even the natural stuff has a strong smell to it, and I wouldn't want to be breathing that for the whole car trip, I can't imagine a child would :)

Thanks for the replies. And yep, it was OFF! I still don't understand why she did that as it's just not something you should spary in the car, or while standing next to a stranger's infant  I'll try to stop ranting about my MIL and get to ordering a new harness.

I have seen quite a few mums spray sunscreen and bug spray while their kids are still strap in their stroller or infant car seat.

I guess they think its easier since the child is strap down?
