Vent I dont have pictures of him in the seat but I think he is too big for it now!

Evan will be 21 months old on the 5th. In the primary vehicle which I where Evan rides 95% of the time he is RF'ing in a Marathon.

So my thing is this...Evan still rides in the SS1 in DH's car. I dont think he should be in the seat at 21 months old. I dont have pictures of him in it for reference or weight either, but can you tell me what the average age is when kids tend to outgrow this seat?

Dh doesnt want to buy another seat just yet but I will if I need too.

Some kids last in the SS1 until 2 years old or even longer. Some outgrow it by 18 mos. or even before. He had 2-4 inches to grow in the torso/head (hard to tell because of pic angle) in the seat in the pic in your siggy. That's just in the torso and head, not overall growth. I wouldn't be too surprised if he still fits at this point. He just needs 1 inch over his head of hard shell.

I put my nephew (20 months) in one the other day and he has about 1/2 inch before he hits the inch line. He still weighs around 24 pounds, so in a pinch I would use it for him. As long as your E still fits and since you already have it, you can use this time to be looking for a good deal on his next seat.

it can be outgrown at a variety of ages. i've seen it outgrown just after 1yr. My dd fit until about 32-33 months.

DS (24 months) still fits with quite a bit of room above his head, got even more room after hed PL'd, so its entirely possible and normal for your DS to fit still.

WOW! I really thought because he was at the 21 month age, he would of outgrown it. I might go and take some quick pics of him in tonight after work just to see. That would be great if that seat was still an option for us!

based on your new siggy pic, he looks to have a long torso (at least compared to my DD). So he may have outgrown it.

DS and his super torso outgrew the SS1 around 11 months. Later he finally sprouted some legs:)

really depends on his torso height
but like the others said, older children have fit!!

my daughter outgrew it by weight a while back but only by height a month ago at 31 months! sad too because i loooooooooooooooooooooooved the seat.
if we had the SR32 she could have used it until last month.
