Am I insane? second guessing

Okay, I am not an indecisive person. I just am feeling like I don't want to sell my Marathon for a Nauti. Is that weird?

Why am I nervous about this? Why am I so attached to having two Marathons?

I've got a buyer for $125. It is a 3 year old seat.

I just have a kid that can still use it.

I'm afraid that the Nauti won't be as comfortable. That the extra inch of harness isn't worth it.

And, whenever my kids look at the seat, they say they don't want it. Yes, that shouldn't be a factor, but it is.

Eleanor is almost 6, and she does fine in a booster 98% of the time...

So, I have to give up a Marathon to get a Nauti, and I'm just afraid that it will be too narrow, not as comfortable... doesn't play well with others... all for an extra inch of harness height, and then a booster... When I could get a dedicated booster once my middle daughter outgrows the Marathon...(in like 3 years).

I'd be putting a child in a Scenera to get one child harnessed for the summer, and into a harness that I don't know that she really needs.

Honestly, why do you all love the Nauti so much, and would you sell a Marathon you are currently using to get it?

It the nautilus for the 6 year old? If so, no I wouldn't sell a seat I liked to get a nautilus. I'd put a 6 year old in a booster when her seat has been outgrown.

If you are in doubt don't do it. The fact that your kids don't want it is also a BIG factor to me. DD2 spent days looking at the pictures online before she decided the sporty blue TF (Did you know car seats could have "Evil eyes? Neither did I. The TF has "sad eyes".)
Wait until the MA is really outgrown. Then get a Nauti if you still think you need one. They have better covers then or their might be something better than the Nauti and Frontier on the market.

It sounds like you really would rather have the MA, I would keep it. You are happy with it, your child is happy with it. To me, DD liking her seat, or not liking one I was thinking about getting would be an important factor. Using it is of course not an option, so I want her in a seat she likes and is happy in. I decided on the Frontier, but when it was time to get it, let DD choose the color. Right now for the baby, completely up to me, her next seat, she will have a say.
