We were at dd#1's baseball game last night and one of the other moms came over to tell me that her ped actually told her to keep her almost 1 year old rearfacing until 32lbs! I am well known as the local car seat nut and I think she was expecting me to correct that info. I said Great! I am so happy to hear that (and explained a quick bit about why it is safer for all others within earshot)
Now there is actually something nice to say about the local peds office - I don't think highly of about anything else they do there, but apparently their carseat advice is improving!
Plus I got to correct a really bad booster install as I was leaving. The car next to me had a kids in a nbb, but with the lap belt over the armrests! It was the coach driving not his kid home.
