    You are thinking about Groovymom up above. She has the BMW 3 series (I believe). You can't remove the headrests because the rollover protection is built into them. I was actually thinking of her saga when I spoke to BMW about this. The only thing is that my kids are rear-facing and will be for sometime, so I wouldn't really have that problem. I really don't know how long DH would have this next car, but we seem to go through cars pretty quickly

    hm, maybe. I dont remember her thread(I went and looked at it) but heck it could have been(my memory is shot though).

    I think I would be fine with a rearfacing tethered seat in a convertible. That way there isnt a risk of a bug in the eye(or forhead or check or mouth, ect) and there is that extra rollover protection that we believe the tethering adds.
