Car Seats not made in China?

Is there a comprehensive list of seats that are NOT made in China (that are legally sold in the US)?

If not, can we compile one?

Well, the new Chaperone is made in China from Britax...so that's not a given.

My BRU's MyRide said made in the USA on the registration tag that you mail in...

I thought the EFTAs were not made in China.

And there used to be some Snugrides not made in China (some made in USA, some made in China).

Is any of that true anymore?

Are there any infant seats made in anyplace other than China?

In addition to Britax and Recaro, Graco, Dorel and Evenflo all have US manufacturing facilities, but it is seat dependent. If I recall correctly, both my SnugRide and Scenera were made in USA.

What about the KF seats? The Peg Perego seats?

I'm not concerned, for my own purposes, about the "big" seats...

Trying to avoid both Dorel and MIC seats is looking to be impossible when it comes to seats for a small baby.

My "odd" babies (1&3) were both little babies...one 6lbs 7oz, the other barely 5lbs. My "even" babies were both "normal" babies...one 8lbs, the other 8lbs 9oz. To fit with that pattern, I'm looking at another little odd baby. I do have one MCP seat that fits little babies well, but if I need another seat, how do I manage both? I had thought I had read that the MCP was made in the UK, but now I need to dig and try to find that. Either way, it's a Dorel seat...so buying another (courtesy of that "brilliant" response to the ERF study out of the UK) is not preferred.

I guess, if nothing else, it should still be possible to find a SnugRide made in the US...just might be difficult.

As a side note, does anyone know about the baby trend seats?

Well, I've been skooled.

I can check on the BT after DH gets home from work.

Cool...I have another girl friend who says that her BT seat doesn't have the location of manufacture on it, but she is offering it to me to use (her baby will have outgrown it by then...he's nearly out of it now!). She's on the phone doing battle with AT&T right now about a phone, so she can't check it (and she's 700 miles away!).
