The DC I watch every weekend is in my car everyday I have her (I bring her home at night to put her to bed, do errands if necessary). Anyway, she is forward facing in moms car (which is horrid--she's only 22.7 pounds! 
) and she's rear facing in mine.
The day is soon coming--she'll ask why she has to sit backwards in my car but not in mommys. How do you answer that?! I can't say "oh, well this is safer!" then she'll think she's not safe in mommys car (which she's not...)
